THE
MANUFACTURER OF BOILERS
The manufacturer
of boilers was hired to fix a huge boiler of a steamship that was not
working properly.
After listening to the engineer the problems and after making some questions,
he made his way to the boiler room.
He
observed the coiled plumbing for some minutes, he listened to its leakage
and the whistle coming out of the pipes, and touched some pipes with
his hands.
Then after humming some song slowly, he put his hand in his pocket and
took off a small hammer with which hit a valve once. Immediately after,
the system started working properly and the boiler left home.
When the owner of the ship received the bill of USD 1000 , he complained
to the worker who had been in the machine room only 15 minutes and asked
for a detailed bill.
